In 2008, owners Dick and Linda Auger established an annual scholarship of $500 to be awarded to a graduating senior planning on entering the field of agriculture.

The Augers received four excellent candidates from Killingly High School for their scholarship.  The 2016 Taylor Brooke Winery Scholarship is awarded to Kayla Mineau.

Kayla is planning on pursuing a Pre-Veterinary major at Becker College and intends to continue her education with hopes of obtaining her graduate degree and Veterinary Medicine degree.  It was obvious through her essay that she understands the world needs for agriculture relative to feeding our population and the ways that the health of both large animals and small animals are necessary on many farms.

Congratulation to Kayla and best wishes for her future endeavors.

Taylor Brooke Winery, a Connecticut Farm Winery and a USDA Registered Family Farm, grows seven different wine grape varietals on eight acres using intensive method farming and also purchases grapes from other CT growers.
